Engineered for Real Load & Thermal Stress

Our dedicated educational workshop facility in Gippsland, Victoria is purpose-built to simulate real-world thermal challenges, electrical loads, and diagnostic troubleshooting without risk to production environments.

Rather than relying on theoretical software models, our testing facility runs live 415V three-phase supplies, high-volume variable speed ducted plenums, and high-frequency ASIC hardware rigs under controlled ambient conditions.

Specialized Diagnostic & Calibration Benches

High-Voltage Power Distribution & Metering Bench

Hands-on industrial switchboard featuring 32A three-phase drops, heavy-gauge C19/C20 power distribution units, and transient surge suppression.

Dedicated Apparatus:
  • Fluke 435 Series II Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzer
  • Type C and Type D thermal-magnetic circuit breaker test rack
  • True-RMS digital clamp multimeters and earth-loop impedance testers
  • Live harmonic distortion (THD) oscilloscope monitoring displays
Learning Purpose: Enables students to safely practice conductor sizing, breaker selection, neutral load balancing, and continuous current derating on live industrial circuits.

Thermal Aerodynamics & Static Pressure Test Chamber

A modular wind-tunnel enclosure equipped with variable-speed axial fans, static pressure sensors, and thermal imaging cameras.

Dedicated Apparatus:
  • FLIR E8-XT High-Resolution Infrared Thermal Camera
  • Dwyer 475 Series Digital Manometers for static pressure differential logging
  • Hot-wire thermo-anemometers for measuring duct air velocity (FPM / CFM)
  • Acoustic sound level meter (Type 1 precision) for dBA baffle benchmarking
Learning Purpose: Demonstrates the physical impact of restricted intake louvres, dirty filter media, and duct bends on hashboard temperatures and fan RPM.

Micro-Electronics & SMD Hashboard Rework Station

Six individual technician workstations configured for component-level fault isolation, signal tracing, and hot-air soldering.

Dedicated Apparatus:
  • High-definition trinocular stereomicroscopes with LED ring illumination
  • Quick 861DW ESD-safe 1000W lead-free hot air rework stations
  • Hakko FX-888D precision temperature-controlled soldering irons
  • Rigol DS1054Z four-channel digital storage oscilloscopes
  • Antminer and Whatsminer automated serial test fixtures
Learning Purpose: Allows participants to probe CLK, RST, and TX test points, isolate shorted voltage domains, and practice chip replacement on real silicon.

Firmware & Pool Telemetry Calibration Rig

Dedicated network test bed with isolated managed switches, Stratum proxy servers, and automated power monitoring sockets.

  • Shelly & Sonoff industrial power telemetry smart relays
  • Grafana real-time Prometheus dashboard showing per-chip core thermals

Full personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied to every attendee
Emergency remote shunt-trip power disconnects at every bench
Fume extraction hoods on all micro-soldering and flux stations
