Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: January 15, 2026 • Compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

1. Policy Overview & Educational Model

At Mind Work Point, we maintain strictly capped cohort sizes (maximum 6 to 8 participants) to ensure every student has dedicated testing equipment, personal safety gear, individual instructor attention, and live bench access. Because bench spaces are reserved exclusively for enrolled attendees, late cancellations directly affect cohort viability.

This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, rescheduling credits, or partial cancellations are processed for our in-person workshops, diagnostic lab days, and on-site facility power audits.

2. Workshop & Lab Bench Cancellation Terms

If you need to cancel your enrollment in an in-person workshop or lab session at our Seaton facility:

A. Cancellation More Than 14 Days Prior to Commencement

If you provide written notice of cancellation 14 or more full calendar days before your scheduled workshop start date, you are eligible for a Full Refund (100%) of your registration fee, or you may transfer your enrollment to any future cohort within 12 months at no additional charge.

B. Cancellation Between 7 and 13 Days Prior to Commencement

If you cancel between 7 and 13 calendar days before the workshop date, you are eligible for a 50% Partial Refund, or a 100% Credit Voucher valid toward a future workshop cohort within 12 months. The remaining 50% retains the cost of pre-allocated safety gear and catering commitments.

C. Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Prior to Commencement / No-Shows

Cancellations received less than 7 calendar days before the session commences, or failure to attend on the day of the workshop (no-shows), are Non-Refundable. However, you may nominate a qualified replacement attendee (e.g. a colleague or family member) to take your reserved bench place at no extra fee, provided you notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

3. Rescheduling Policy

You may request to reschedule your workshop attendance to a later date without penalty if notice is given at least 14 days before the session. Rescheduling requests submitted within 7 to 13 days of the workshop incur a nominal $75 administration and rebooking fee.

4. On-Site Facility Power & Airflow Audits

For commissioned on-location facility audits across Victoria:

  • Deposit Requirements: A 20% booking deposit is required upon scheduling the on-site visit. This deposit is fully refundable if the inspection is cancelled with at least 5 business days' notice.
  • Work Already Started / Completed Visits: Once our engineer has completed the physical on-site walkthrough and commenced drafting the technical CAD schematic or airflow calculation report, fees for the completed assessment and report are non-refundable.

5. Workshop Rescheduling or Cancellation by Mind Work Point

In the rare event that Mind Work Point must postpone or cancel a workshop due to extreme regional weather events (such as Severe Fire Danger ratings in Gippsland), instructor illness, or power infrastructure emergencies:

  • You will be notified immediately via phone and email.
  • You will be offered an immediate 100% Full Refund or priority placement in an upcoming alternative cohort date.
  • Mind Work Point is not liable for non-refundable personal travel or accommodation expenses incurred with third-party providers.

6. Refund Request Procedure & Processing Times

To request a cancellation, reschedule, or refund:

  1. Send an email to hello@mind-workpoint.click quoting your booking reference, invoice number, and reason for the request.
  2. Our administration team will review your request within 2 business days in accordance with the timelines above.
  3. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment (Australian bank transfer or credit card) within 5 to 7 business days of approval.

7. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy limits, modifies, or excludes your statutory consumer rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and Victorian consumer protection legislation. If our services fail to meet a major statutory guarantee, you are entitled to statutory remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
